As a Skin/Wound Consultant, I get to treat and make recommendation for all types of skin and wound conditions so I thought it was time to write a blog on all things pretty and also the not so pretty.
The Cosmetic industry is a $billion dollar market and Dermatologists like Harvard trained Doctors Rodan + Fields have seriously got this right. In 2016 their R+F brand has claimed No.1 Best selling skin care brand in the USA (according to euromontor international) and in September, it hit the shores of Australia and is already providing incredible results for skin across the country.
But, do we really understand our skin and what it does? I think these dermatologists got this one right for all age groups, and I can vouch as I have tried and tested it and have received my own great results.
REVERSE regimen family comes in two formulations, The REVERSE regimen helps clean the slat – addressing exposure to the sun and environment, which can accelerate the early signs of ageing. REVERSE brightening tackles the appearance of dullness, discolouration and uneven skin tone. This regimen exfoliates, brightens and help defend against sun exposure for a long-term solution for radiant complexion.
SOOTHE regimen is perfect for those with sensitive, dry, chapped, cracked or visibly red skin. The SOOTHE regimen uses RFp3 technology and a powerful combination of potent peptides to help you maintain a healthy looking, even-toned complexion.
REDEFINE is a comprehensive skincare regimen that layers cosmetic ingredients and peptide technology to help defend against and reduce the visible signs of ageing for noticeably firmer, smoother, flawless looking skin

I am a REDEFINE user, and LOVE it. I Use it twice a day. One of my favourite products is ENHANCEMENTS micro-dermabrasion paste, which I use twice a week with the AMP MD roller.
A comment was recently posted by a high school friend on Facebook that I seem to be getting better as I age and I would like to think that’s to do with my daily skin care regime but also its important to note that staying hydrated, doing what I love most and sharing my passion also plays a role!
So we have discussed the good but what is the bad and the ugly all about? I'm talking hormones, diseases, co-morbidities and environmental factors that can impede ones skin health. Something I see everyday and it breaks my heart.
I follow the incredible work Dr Libby Weaver is doing around our country to educate females on how stress and foods can impact on our hormones which then presents on our body as eczema, acnes, psoriasis or even cancer.
Education and awareness needs to be continued to prevent the ugly from occurring. We need to educate people that skin care is more than products and how each and every organ in your body can play a role in your skins health. Amazing skin products as just one step in the recipe towards beautiful skin.
